At Inkwazi Fly Fishing Safaris we have always been conscious of the need to look after the environment.
Today the rivers that we fish are regulated as catch and release only, barbless hooks only waters but even before that we have always insisted that all of our clients practice catch and release.
The only time your well being is not uppermost in our minds is when you have landed a fish, for a moment or two our focus is on the well being of the trout.
We use fine mesh nets so as to minimise trauma to the fish, we may refuse to fish certain waters at the height of summer when the water is too warm to give the fish sufficient oxygen for a full recovery, and we take the well being of our fishery extremely seriously.
Thankfully almost all local anglers now happily go along with this philosophy and as a result the fish are getting bigger and more plentiful than they ever where.
We thank you for your understanding, but these waters are just too precious and the trout in them too special to kill them.
